President's Message (February 2015)
Feb 03,2015

In the blink of an eye, we are now in 2015. We have accomplished quite a lot in 2014, yet there’s still so much to be done. As we embark on our journey this year, I hope that you share my pride in our beloved Association for all that it has achieved in the past and for everything that it has yet to achieve this 2015.

Last year, we took part in several international trade events, including the World of Concrete and CONEXPO in Las Vegas, the IFAWPCA Convention in Jakarta, Indonesia, the ACF Council Meeting in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and the 3rd Cambodia Constructors Association Summit & Construction Industry Expo in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

President's Message (February 2013)
Feb 07,2013

With the country’s 2012 full-year economic growth rate having surpassed official targets of 5-6% at 6.6%, the construction industry can certainly look forward to a more robust 2013.

We opened this year with a series of planning sessions to plot our goals for year 2013. The PCA has reorganized and formed 10 new committees; namely, Construction Markets Development; Construction Labor Relations & Safety Development; Construction Manpower Development; Construction Materials, Equipment & Technology Development; Construction Finance & Taxation Development; Membership, Chapters & Affiliates; Programs & Sports; International Relations; Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Public Information & Public Relations; and Integrity Initiative & Professional Practice Oversight.

President's Message for January
Feb 01,2012

Indeed, the first half of January has become a very busy and productive one. Your new board has already conducted three planning sessions to plot the goals and schedules for the year 2012.
We anticipate that this year will be full of opportunities both in public and private construction. Last January 16, we had a very informative and productive meeting with Secretary Singson of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) who briefed us on the total 170 billion worth of projects to be bid out this year. Likewise, on the same date, we met with the officers of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) who informed us of the coming bid for a 240-kilometer road network in Samar.

It has been half a year since the PCA website was re-launched and its hype continues to intensify through time.

Undeniably, the last quarter of 2011 has been action-packed for the members and directors of the association. The PCA’s involvement in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Meeting held in Hanoi, Vietnam and in the 8th China-ASEAN Exposition and Relevant Forum held in China exemplifies PCA’s sweeping influence in the international construction scene. News on Philconstruct 2011, the 39th IFAWPCA Convention, the Nordic Leadership Conference, the 3rd ACF CSTST Meeting and the 33rd ACF Council Meeting brings the entire PCA membership up-to-date with the association’s dynamism in chasing its pursuit of a competitive construction industry for the Philippines.
