President's Message (February 2015)

In the blink of an eye, we are now in 2015. We have accomplished quite a lot in 2014, yet there‚Äôs still so much to be done. As we embark on our journey this year, I hope that you share my pride in our beloved Association for all that it has achieved in the past and for everything that it has yet to achieve this 2015.

Last year, we took part in several international trade events, including the World of Concrete and CONEXPO in Las Vegas, the IFAWPCA Convention in Jakarta, Indonesia, the ACF Council Meeting in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and the 3rd Cambodia Constructors Association Summit & Construction Industry Expo in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In partnership with the Philconstruct Events, Exhibitions and Conferences Corp., we also successfully organized three Philconstruct shows in Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao. The show which we started more than 25 years ago is now dubbed as the biggest show of its kind in the Philippines and the longest-running in the whole of Southeast Asia.

I would like to express my gratitude to those who have worked and devoted their time, effort and even personal resources to make PCA the strong and successful organization that it is today.  Rest assured that we, through our dedicated committees, will continue to work in full-force just as we have for the year that has passed in bringing nothing less than activities and programs that will place you at a distinct advantage in the industry.  While I look forward to working with each one of you in accomplishing our shared goals and contributing to the overall mission of PCA, I also urge you to continuously work towards improving your management skills, technological prowess and financial capacity.  In our current situation, construction industry professionals throughout the Philippines face a multitude of challenges and the least we can do is to further enhance our knowledge and capacities and develop professionally. While you do, we in the PCA Board will continue to participate in advisory boards and legislative processes as we present a cohesive voice for the entire industry.

I encourage everyone to stay active in the Association and get involved in all our endeavors. As you do, we commit to you that the PCA will always be here to represent your interests and do justice to our calling as the voice of the Philippine construction industry.
