Members of the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA) form part of the delegation that left the country yesterday for a business trip to Cambodia and Myanmar.
The delegates are set to attend a construction industry mission to both countries from October 21 to 25.
Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) and Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB), the mission is a follow-through action to the successful construction mission in Timor Leste last February that was also attended by selected senior representatives of leading Philippine construction companies and engineering consulting firms.
PCA members who joined the trip are former PCA Secretary (Datem, Inc.) Mariano Agoncillo, Past President Isidro Consunji (DMCI Holdings, Inc.), 1st Vice President Ronaldo Elepaño, Ellen Chua (ETMC Global Trading, Inc.), Ingrid Mendoza (City Shutter Incorporated), Past President Rogelio Lombos (Engineering & Development Corporation of the Philippines), Oscar Mercado (EEI Corporation), Levi Agoncillo (First Balfour), PCA 2nd Vice President Dante Abando (Makati Development Corporation), and PCA Directors Claro Bagalso (Sta. Clara International Corporation) and Ricardo Interior, Jr. (RD Interior, Jr.).
The aim of the mission is to explore business and investment opportunities in construction, engineering consulting, oil and gas and other sectors. It is also seen as a good stepping stone to establishing strategic alliances with contractors and engineers in Cambodia and Myanmar who have impressive reputation in the business sector.
