The Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA), represented by PCA Executive Director Lito Madrasto and former director Vic Lahoz, took part in Integrity Summit 2014 held last September 19 at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
Held under the theme “Uniting for Integrity,” the Summit was the 4th in a series of annual events that aimed to highlight the progress of the private sector in spreading ethical standards in business.
It was attended by over 500 representatives from the business sector, including company CEOs and youth and civic leaders.
Among the speakers during the event were Makati Business Club (MBC) and Integrity Initiative Chairman Ramon R. Del Rosario, Jr., Siemens Singapore President & CEO Dr. Armin Bruck, Camarines Sur 3rd District Representative Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo, Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares, retired Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban, National Youth Commission Commissioner-at-Large Jose Sixto “Dingdong” Dantes III and Archbishop of Manila Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle.
Recognized during the Summit were companies that have mainstreamed integrity practices and are now reaping the benefits of committing to high integrity standards.
In 2010, the PCA joined the fight against corruption when past president Levy Espiritu signed the Integrity Pledge on behalf of the Association.
Several members of the PCA have signed the Pledge since then.
